Former Secret member Jun Hyo-seong recently drew attention for earning a pet care certification, which she obtained while appearing on comedian Kim Sook's YouTube channel. Jun shared that she began considering what she might do if she ever left the entertainment industry: 'I earned a pet care manager certification,' she said. 'I started thinking about what I would do if I were no longer an entertainer, and I realized I wanted to do something that helps animals.'
Red Velvet member Joy is also pursuing a similar path, having recently completed a course in insurance consulting. According to sources close to the group, Joy's interest in finance stems from her desire to provide financial stability for herself and her loved ones. By acquiring this certification, she aims to create a safety net that will support her both within and outside of the entertainment industry.
Other K-pop idols have followed suit, exploring various alternative careers such as dog grooming, beauty services, and fitness instruction.
